Professor Fang Fang

Fang Fang is Professor in Epidemiology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Her research focuses on the etiology and prognostic indicators of different neurodegenerative diseases, especially amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) but also multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and dementias. In her research, she leverages data from large-scale studies—population-based cohort and case-control studies, clinical follow-up studies, and Nordic registers and biobanks—while integrating cutting-edge molecular biology and informatics technologies into traditional epidemiological designs.
