
Professor Eran Hornstein

Prof. Eran Hornstein received his MD/PhD from the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School in 2003, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School before joining the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2006. Prof. Hornstein is Chair of the Department of Molecular Neuroscience, Head of the Andi and Larry Wolfe Center for Neuroimmunology and Neuromodulation, and holds the Mondry Family Professorial Chair. The Hornstein Lab utilizes computation, AI/ML and iPSC-derived human CNS cell modelling approaches to uncover the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying ALS.
