
Dr Gene Yeo

Dr. Gene Yeo is a Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at UC San Diego and a leading expert in RNA biology and genomics. He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering, Economics (University of Illinois), a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience (MIT), and an MBA (UCSD). He co-directs the UCSD Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Graduate Program, chairs the SCRM Steering Committee, and is Scientific Director of the SCRM Genomics Core. Dr. Yeo also serves as Chief Scientific Advisor of Sanford Labs, Associate Director of UCSD’s Genetics T32 program, and Founding Director of the UCSD Center for RNA Technologies and Therapeutics.
