Please see below for frequently asked questions about virtual attendance of the International Symposium on ALS/MND. If you can't find an answer to your question below, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Pre-Event
Approximately 5 days prior to the conference, you will receive an email via the email address you used to register for the Symposium containing all of the instructions on how to access the virtual platform for the Symposium.
Approximately 5 days prior to the Symposium you will receive an email with your login details for the virtual platform, as well as instructions on how to login. Don't worry if you lose this email, we will send out reminders on each morning of the Symposium. If you do have any issues logging into the platform, please use the 'Support' icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the login page.
Your registration gives you access to watch selected sessions via live stream. The final programme will show which sessions will be available to watch live.
Additionally, you will have access to all of the sessions on-demand. All session recordings will be available to view from 9 December 2025. You will receive details on how to access the recordings after the Symposium. The video recordings will be available until the 4 March 2026.
You will need a device that is connected to the Internet, we recommend a desktop using Google Chrome as the browser. Approximately 5 days prior to the event you will receive all the information you need to login to the virtual platform.
The best way to view the Symposium is through the virtual platform on a desktop device. There is a symposium app but functionality will be limited for virtual delegates. Information on how to download the mobile app will be enclosed in an email approximately 5 days prior to the Symposium.
During the Event
On each morning of the symposium, you will receive a reminder that will contain information on how to login into the virtual platform. It is a good idea to log on 30 minutes or so before the first session, on your first day of logging in, so you can get familiar with the platform, view the Virtual Poster Hall and connect with fellow delegates.
Don't worry if you miss a live session as all of the session recordings will be available to watch on-demand from 9 December 2025 to 4 March 2026.
We will not be offering the Live Q&A this year as session chairs will be prioritising in-person questions to speakers during the sessions. The meeting hub function allows you to connect with speakers additionally email addresses are provided should you want to contact speakers directly with questions.
Posters are available to view on-demand in the Virtual Poster Hall so delegates can "virtually wander around" at any time during the event. There are no live poster sessions for virtual delegates.
If you experience technical difficulties during the Symposium please use the red 'Support' button in the top right-hand side of the virtual platform. Our team will be on hand to help troubleshoot any technical difficulties you may be having.
Some issues can be solved by adjusting the settings of your camera or microphone. This can be done in the by clicking on your profile picture in the top right-hand corner (next to the 'Help' button) and going into 'My Settings'.
After the Event
Yes! All of the sessions will be recorded and will be available for on-demand from 9 December 2025 until 4 March 2026. You will receive details on how to access the recordings after the Symposium.
Yes! Certificates of attendance will be emailed to all delegates after the Symposium has ended.
