Michael Benatar, professor of neurology (University of Miami), obtained his MBChB at the University of Cape Town (South Africa), and his DPhil (neuroscience) while a Rhodes Scholar (University of Oxford). He runs an active clinical/translational research program focused on ALS biomarker and therapy-development, with a particular focus on pre-symptomatic disease.
