Authors may submit an abstract for consideration in one of three categories: oral, poster or work in progress/care practice (WIP/CP) poster presentations.

Abstract Submission Information and FAQs
Authors will be asked to assign a theme to their abstract in the abstract submission portal. Details on themes will be announced in due course.
Submissions are limited to two abstracts per presenting author.
No, authors no longer need to register before submitting an abstract. Presenting authors will be required to pay the appropriate in-person registration fee. Formal acceptance of an abstract is conditional upon payment of the full registration fee. Refunds will be available in the event of an abstract being rejected.
Abstracts will be published in an online open access supplement of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Frontotemporal Degeneration. This abstract book will be published online on the Taylor and Francis website and will be found via the Symposium website (symposium.mndassociation.org). Abstracts accepted as ‘WIP/CP’ will be published on the MND Association’s Symposium website.
By submitting an abstract, you consent to give us the license to act on your behalf with the Taylor & Francis group to publish your abstract in the symposium supplement of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Frontotemporal Degeneration.
WIP/CP stands for work in progress/care practice. WIP/CP is defined as: preliminary work (little or no data/results), care practice or case studies.
Yes, abstracts may be submitted even if previously presented at a national/international meeting.
Once the submission deadline has passed, abstracts will be reviewed by the Symposium Programme Committee. We will inform you of the decision in late August and if you have been accepted. This will be followed by a second notification in September/October which will include specific presentation theme/session, time and date information. Poster presenters will also receive details and instructions on poster guidelines and how to submit their poster material (poster PDF) to our virtual platform for our virtual delegates before the upload deadlines TBD.
