Pre-Event
The 35th International Symposium on ALS/MND is being held in Montreal, Canada at the Palais des Congres de Montreal | Convention Center Montreal.
You can pick up your name badge and delegate bag for the International Symposium on ALS/MND from the registration desk, level 5 of the Palais des Congres de Montreal from 16.00 – 18.00 on Thursday 5 December.
The registration desk will also be open from 07.00 - 18.00 on Friday 6 December, 07.00 - 18.00 on Saturday 7 December and 07.00 - 12.00 Sunday 8 December.
For security purposes, please bring photographic ID (passport, driving licence, ID card, etc) and be prepared to have this checked at registration in order to collect your badge.
For any guests who require accessibility assistance, lifts are available in the Conference Centre for you to reach floor 5 where the Symposium is being held. Accessible facilities are available on each floor.
Please advise symposium@mndassociation.org if you have particular access requirements that need to be considered.
Yes! Your registration gives you access all sessions.
Additionally, you will have access to all of the sessions on-demand until 6 March 2025. All session recordings will be available to view after the event. You will receive details on how to access the recordings after the Symposium.
For security purposes, please bring photographic ID (passport, driving licence, ID card, etc) and be prepared to have this checked at registration in order to collect your badge. If you are not wearing your delegate badge, we cannot guarantee you entry into any sessions.
Don’t forget to bring power adapters compatible with Canadian power sockets to charge your electronic devices. Adapters will not be provided by the Symposium organisers.

Make the most of the Symposium experience by downloading the official Symposium Mobile App. You can use the app to browse and build your own agenda, view presenters’ information and abstracts, chat to other delegates, make notes and more.
Download the "The Event App by EventsAIR" from Google Play (for Android devices) or the App Store (for iOS devices). Once you have installed the app, enter the app code "alsmnd24" then your email and PIN (which will be included in your pre-event email) to use all features of the app. If you downloaded the app for last year's event, please ensure your app is fully updated.
During the Event

The registration desk will also be open from 07.00 - 18.00 on Friday 6 December, 07.00 – 18.00 on Saturday 7 December and 07.00 - 12.00 Sunday 8 December. Registration prior to the opening session of the Symposium on Friday 6 December will be busy, so we recommend that you arrive early.

Mid-morning and afternoon refreshments will be served on the 5th floor and delegates will have the opportunity to network and engage with exhibitors during the refreshment breaks.
A buffet lunch will be served in the Event Hall (516/517a).
The venue has been advised of all dietary requirements detailed at the time of your registration. Please advise symposium@mndassociation.org if you have particular dietary requirements that need to be considered.
Refreshments purchased outside of the Congress Centre are not permitted.
Poster sessions will be held on Friday 6 December, Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December in the Poster Hall (517b/c) from 17.30 – 19.00 and 08.30-10.00 on Sunday morning.
We encourage you to ask questions during the sessions using the microphones that will be available for you to address the speaker. Time is limited for questions, but we will endeavour to answer as many as possible.

Please join us at the 35th International Symposium on ALS/MND Welcome Networking Reception, on Thursday 5 December at 18:00-19:30. This reception is another opportunity to network with the ALS/MND community before the start of the scientific sessions. Please note that spaces for this reception are limited and delegates will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. If the venue reaches capacity, we will not be able to admit any more delegates.

We would like to advise you that photographs and videos will be taken during the Symposium. The MND Association and the Symposium hosts, ALS Canada and ALS Quebec, will use the images and/or video footage for promotional purposes on social and digital media channels and in publications, normally within a five-year period from the date the picture was taken.
If you do not wish to appear in any photographs, please let a member of staff know during registration (or email symposium@mndassociation.org) and they will make sure that you are not included in any images.
We do not usually supply certification of poster presentations. Please use the confirmation of poster acceptance email should you require proof of this.
After the Event
Yes! All of the sessions will be recorded and will be available for on-demand from 12 December 2024 until 6 March 2025. You will receive details on how to access the recordings after the Symposium.
Yes! Certificates of attendance will be emailed to all delegates after the Symposium has ended.
