Talk title: "microRNA dysregulation in motor neuron disease"
Eran Hornstein PhD/MD (2003) is the founding Chair of the Department of Molecular Neuroscience at Weizmann Institute of Science. A full professor, incumbent of the Mondry Family Professorial Chair and inaugural director of the Andrea L. and Lawrence A. Wolfe Family Center for Research on Neuroimmunology and Neuromodulation. He is also heading the steering committee of the Azrieli Institute for Brain and Neural Sciences. Hornstein laboratory utilizes ‘systems biology’ and computation to explore the mechanisms of ALS. Hornstein lab also tests new therapies at pre-clinical / clinical stages and develop disease-relevant biomarkers.
