"MR-guided focused ultrasound: A new frontier in the delivery of biotherapeutics for ALS" (co-presenter)

Agessandro Abrahão is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the University of Toronto, Canada, and an associate scientist at the Sunnybrook Research Institute. He is a staff neurologist and clinical epidemiologist at the University of Toronto ALS Clinic and a focused ultrasound principal investigator at the Harquail Centre for Neuromodulation – Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Dr. Abrahão’s research aims to expand the clinical testing of MR-guided focused ultrasound as a therapeutic delivery platform in ALS. He is also interested in validating candidate biomarkers of motor neuron function in ALS using transcranial magnetic stimulation and motor unit count techniques.
