Dr. Caroline Ingre is a specialist in neuromuscular diseases and ALS and has worked with ALS for 15 years. She is Head of the Karolinska ALS Clinical Research Group which focuses on epidemiology, risk and prognosis of ALS disease, the development of imaging methods, biomarker studies and quality of life assessments including psychological influence on ALS.

Dr Ingre has created the National ALS/MND Registry in Sweden and the Karolinska Clinical Trial Center, a national center focused only on ALS clinical trials. The Center is currently running several parallel trials, in two specialized units at Karolinska University Hospital. She has initiated several collaborations between Universities and University Hospitals in Sweden and hosts the national clinical ALS meeting. She is a board member of TRICALS and leads several international collaborative projects
