Prof. John C. van Swieten, (h-index 75), has built up extensive expertise on genetics, clinical, neuroimaging and pathology in frontotemporal dementia, and its genetic forms, over the last 30 years.

He has been initiator and leader of the largest longitudinal study of presymptomatic muation carriers of FTD since 2010. He has received grants from the Dutch Research Council, Alzheimer Nederland, European JPND and the Bluefield Project (www.bluefieldproject.com).

He is currently President of the International Society of FTD (ISFTD).
