Dr. Bowser is the Chief Scientific Officer, Professor and Chair of Neurobiology at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He obtained his PhD from Yale University and completed fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bowser was a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for 17 years prior to his recruitment by the Barrow Neurological Institute in 2011. Dr. Bowser is co-Founder of two biotechnology companies, Knopp Biosciences, LLC and Iron Horse Diagnostics, Inc., companies advancing drug treatments and biomarkers for neurologic disorders. He co-chairs the NEALS biorepository as well as the Target ALS Biofluids and Post-mortem Tissue Core biorepositories.
